Genis Pieterse: I am an average runner, participating in the sport for enjoyment, social interaction and personal satisfaction. For me ultra-long-distance adventure running is about the personal challenge, the respect and camaraderie shown by the participants. I am from South Africa and am participating in the UK, Ireland, Israel and South Africa contingent. I am a management consultant by profession and holds a doctorate in theology, a MBA in economics, and am presently busy with a research based PhD.
